Deepak Mayasandra

Born into a family of writers and freedom fighters, Deepak Mayasandra was naturally drawn toward social service and political activism from a young age.

He joined the RSS during

his school days at the tender age of eight and has remained an active swayamsevak ever since.

In 1994, at just 12 years old, he began his political journey by distributing BJP pamphlets door-to-door during the Assembly elections. From that point onward, he has been consistently involved in electoral activities.

During the 2014 elections, Deepak made a significant decision to leave his high-paying job in an IT company to dedicate himself fully to the party. Since then, he has been serving the organization with complete commitment.

Deepak’s grandfather, Late Maa. Naa. Chowdappa, was a distinguished journalist and writer. He  contributed immensely to the freedom movement as a journalist. He edited Prajamata, a popular weekly in which he published translations of Gandhiji s articles published in Harijan news paper. After retirement from All India Radio he joined Jnyaana Gangotri children’s encyclopedia project as a literary editor and served it throughout it’s publication of seven volumes. He contributed to the Bharata Bharati series through notable works such as Vidhura , K Sheshadri Iyer and P. Kodanda Rao, and also authored several historical novels.
